E-mail Campaign for AAA 2009 Outline
(For those who have issues with the PowerPoint Presentation)
E-mail campaign for AAA:
Arashi Around America 2009
What is e-mail campaigning?
An e-mail campaign (in this case) is collectively sending e-mails to one or more receivers to ultimately promote or campaign for a single goal.
What is our goal?
Our goal is to steadily promote a possible concert in Hawaii in the summer of 2009 for Arashi’s 10th Anniversary.
The plan is to set a date (five days) where fans all over the nation can send in messages stating their want for a concert in America.
It will be condensed into five days so that it will not look like scattered e-mails from varied dates, but like a significant amount of e-mails from abroad fans in one concentrated chunk of time.
We want to make an impact and so we need to do it at one time where it will actually look impressive.
How will this help?
· Further making Arashi aware that they have fans in America.
· Promoting the idea of a high-caliber concert.
· Harnessing the power of multiple fans to bring a nation of Arashi’s 6th member together.
· Making an impact of the view of international Arashi fans and showing our dedication.
Who are our target(s)?
JUNSTYLE (Jun Matsumoto’s radio show)
BAY STORM (Kazunari Ninomiya’s radio show)
ARASHI DISCOVERY (Satoshi Ohno’s radio show)
AIBA RECOMEN (Masaki Aiba’s radio show)
It has also been suggested that we e-mail the television stations that feature Arashi shows such as,
Nippon Television
Fuji Television
TBS
Those methods would be up to the sender(s), however.
Methods of contact
Our top method of contact is via e-mail.
Another suggested method of contact is via snail mail.
E-mailing Arashi
JUNSTYLE: arashi@nack5.co.jp
Jun reads e-mails for listeners quite often and so I would suggest that everyone willing to participate sends an e-mail to JUNSTYLE.
BAYSTORM: nino@bayfm.co.jp
AIBA REKOMEN: arashi@joqr.net
ARASHI DISCOVERY: arashi@fmyokohama.co.jp
Satoshi’s show is quite short and the e-mails he reads tend to be short as well. An interesting, yet to the point e-mail to Arashi Discovery is probably your best bet.
E-mailing tips
English is not the first language for any member of Arashi. If you aren’t skilled in Japanese and cannot find someone to help you with translation, I’d suggest using basic English.
If you’re e-mailing for the purpose of this campaign, make that your e-mail’s main subject. The purpose of your mail might be lost if other, irrelevant information is included.
Snail Mailing Arashi
Address to mail to:
ARASHI - ARASHI MEMBER'S NAME
Johnny's Family Club
Miyamasu Tower B1F
1-10-10 Shibuya
Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-8550
Example of address:
ARASHI – Ohno Satoshi
Johnny's Family Club
Miyamasu Tower B1F
1-10-10 Shibuya
Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-8550
Snail Mail Tips
Using basic English would be good, however in this situation, it is possible that they can find someone to help them with translation.
Therefore is English is your only route, I’d say use it proudly.
I understand with snail mail, it can be harder to objectively make your entire letter just about promoting an concert in America in 2009. Handwritten letters are personal and so I would say please write what you desire and if you wish to mention the concert, then do so.
When do we begin?
E-mail Campaign: If you wish to participate in the five-day e-mailing campaign, the start date is --
November 24th -28th 2008
Snail Mail Campaign: Since snail mail takes time to be delivered, please feel free to begin sending letters anytime after watching this presentation.
In Conclusion
As an average fan looking to reach out to other fans, I hope that this campaign will show the dedication and love that Arashi has brought to us. Arashi’s fans are truly a collection of outstanding individuals with a lot of drive and a lot of heart in all the right places.
As Arashi’s 6th member, whether it seems like it our not, we do have a say in our boy’s careers and for them to recognize us as fans means we have to shake things up a bit and scream a little louder.
As fans, we put in our minds, bodies, souls, and allowances into Arashi’s career just as any Japanese fan would to the degree that we can. I will be bold and say that our hard work deserves an award and who could disagree that having Arashi return to America for a concert would not be the greatest reward of all?
Thank You for reading this and I hope you’ll participate for the sake of Arashi!
Comments
Maybe we could have a Japanese speaker volunteer to translate some of the letters for those that can't?
Also, do you want to keep track how may emails have been sent?
I'm just super excited, I have a feeling this could work! ^_^
Yeah, I do plan on keeping track of the e-mails. I'm in the midst of building a very minute site where after sending the e-mail, the sender can fill out a form stating they e-mailed and how many mails they sent.
>.< I hope it does or at least starts a wave, showing we mean business. :)
Okay, I'm in. Just tell me the days, and its a go.
