Hidden Fortress Report

Girl...did you see what Ygall just put up?!?!?! OMG! I can't believe we were recognized even by the press. Arashi better come to the US now. xD Seriously.... there are SO MANY fans here that are willing to go over the boundaries to just see them! I still need to write my full-detailed report. It's already 3 pages long from what I started off. =D
I DID SEE! I commented there!
They kinda took a small image though - that disappointed me a bit.
Otherwise though, I think Arashi will finally get the point...THEY BETTER!
Oh and BELIEVE ME, my report of the film itself will be horridly long too!
Ganbare! <3
looking forward to Sho's debut in AMERICA reporting some awesome news for newszero!! XDDDDD

I have lots to comment on while reading it but theres just too much! ahah, cant wait until JULY~ HOMG <3
[this is good]

OMG! SO COOL!!!! Thanks for posting those!

Angela and I are sooo happy!

By the way, *n00b* what's Ygall?

ohmygod, what an excellent report~!!! It sounds like you had such an amazing time. <3 I'm so glad the fans were able to give Jun their [/our?] love. <3333333 It's so cute that he was taken aback by the flowers!! SO CUTE. <3

Thanks for the report! I can't wait to go check out the media links! I'm so glad the fans were able to spread the message to the media too!

Yayyyy!!! another awesome report! I'm so happy for you guys! That's right, spread the word! arashi has tons of fans overseas! LOL!
Yeah. People were pissed off by all the cutting. I love the whole fanmeet idea, but not when it costs those of us who came there earlier to be pushed even farther back. By the time we started going in, there were probably over 50 people who were in front of us. In the beginning there were probably only 30.

And even though you may have been nice, I bet someone would have complained in their blog about it. Since a lot of us would read off of probably one of your girls' reviews, we would have been reading about how mean we were. :/
No matter how we said it, we would come off as bitchy or be ignored. Too much trouble you know?

Well it's over already and I was able to get in.. But I'm just bitter about how my friends and I could have had a better chance at sitting near the front to the right without all the cutting. Sorry. ^^

On a lighter note, you're very lucky you were interviewed that much! I really want to see all the press pictures~

Oh no, I completely agree and that's why I apologized up front. I know it was a mistake and I seriously don't want any un-needed tension to arise amongst fellow fans because of it. So again, I'm extremely sorry, but I am glad you were able to get in.

I can't wait for the press images either! He looked amazing, no doubt!
Thanks for the post, Destini! It was fun to read, lol. It sucks I didn't get to know any of you cause I was somewhere in the front of the line, eheh...^_^;

Aw, man! They did that for the posters?? Me and mel-chan were thinking of snagging some for us, but we didn't think they'd let us. ;3;
Thanks for your report! So you're the famous Destini? I've found your name in quite a few reports! XD American fans rock! *__* Now i hope that the movie will be released also in Europe! T_T
FAMOUS? Oh gosh, I'm so not famous! LOL, but I was really glad to have met so many great fans and help spread the world all the way to Japan that we love them all over the world. I honestly don't know what came over me yesterday 'cause I'm generally terrified of a lot of attention.
now you are one of the famous Arashi fan in Japan!
Thank you for your report and well done!
Uwaaa don't say that! >.< I'm normal, LOL.

now you are one of the famous Arashi fan in Japan!

Now to target Arashi in Europe, ne?
Ganbare!! :)

damn i didn't know they were letting fans keep the posters! >_< me and MatsuJunkie left earlier i guess but i remember touching the posters! XD lol.

yea it's a pity we didn't really chat during the wait just like Jun "I'm shy~~." XD

I love your report goshhh you girls really are so lucky *-* this was a awesome report love it
Wow Destini! Sho was there? I totally didn't see him. (T_T)
Ohhh no no no! Someone scared me because NEWS ZERO was there and I *thought* Sho was so I freaked out! XD
Too bad I didn't get to meet you, Destini. I was kinda afraid the other fans might think I'm cutting in so I decided to just keep quite. I got to meet other awesome fans though. Kim, the caucasian girl who goes to USC, was behind me and was interviewed by News Zero. I agree, they did look for the non-Asians and guys as well. I guess to kinda show the diversity of the people in attendance. Anyway, a group of students (Japanese class) with their teachers came from SD and brought magazines with Jun/Arashi so we killed some time swooning over the pictures. Somehow, the long wait didn't seem so long because of all the good conversations. Arashi fans really are awesome! I wish there are more opportunites for us to meet like that. Thanks for representing!
Hahahaha! Really, a group of students and their teachers? How cool is that?

Yeah, they were cool teachers! They came in 3 cars. One of the teachers is from Monterey, CA so she also flew down to SD. She was telling me that their friend who is the real Jun fan and the one who told them about the premiere couldn't make it due to class the next day. She teaches at Stanford! Anyway, they watch HYD in class.

Another thing is that she was telling me how bad some of the translations were during the Q&A portion. I guess the lady next to Jun and Higuchi-san kept messing up the translation which is why they were kinda confused. Remember when the other translator went to their side and then started translating? I think that was the question regarding the crossover thing.

Wah... that's what I thought as well. >.<

I'm going to see if I can get the whole Q&A session transcribed. But first I have to download it from my MDplayer.
Yeah, please transcribe it with the intro as well. I can't remember everything that Jun after he was introduced. All I remember was my surprise to hear him speak straight English without any cue cards. Wasn't he just the cutest thing? Have I told you how envious I am of you??? :P

No kidding!! I brought my Arashi calendar to my Japanese class once to show my friends in that class and when my teacher saw it she pulled a face. xD

Those teachers were really cool. One of them had a Japanese magazine with Jun as Takezo on the cover and showed it to us. Then, she brought out another magazine with Hey! Say! Jump! on the cover. We happily flipped through the pages of course. It provided some much needed distraction since we're all just standing around.

One thing I noticed in that group I was standing with is that except for me and one other girl (who was at the One concert in Japan), they were just Jun fans. They said they're not really into Arashi. They like Jun, the actor.

He was so adorable! There's actually a fanvideo up on youtube with his whole speech - which is a good thing because my friend Liz was in charge of the recording failed to save this portion of the interview. (>.<)
I saw the link but I can't view it since I'm still at work. Youtube is blocked. LOL So, as soon as I get home, I am watching that thing again. He's just too cute for words! I was all giggly the whole time. Did you notice how he didn't cross his legs this time? I kept waiting for thim to do it since they do it all the time but he didn't.
aw, not Arashi fans... but I'm glad for Jun that he's able to draw people just based on his acting even if they don't like Arashi. :] good for him! And Arashi will still never have a shortage of fans. We'll always be here~ :D
Hahaha... I didn't notice until you just pointed it out. (^_^) You know, he really was very kind and considerate. It makes me like him even more. (*_*)
Ah, good memories! That was the best day ever!
ARE YOU KIDDING I WOULD SELL MY FIRST BORN CHILD BEFORE I SELL THAT POSTER. Can you give me your address through PM/email so I can send you a thank you card, or something?

Your report is great, Leader! I'm slowly going through all media, and I must thank you for raising your hand precisely in front of my head in the Sanspo picture. I would have been mortified if my face was in a newspaper.
[this is good]
I don't know. I kind of have mixed feelings about Arashi coming to the states. I'm just a little unsure of the market for boy bands right now. I'm not trying to be pessimistic, I just feel like if they come, I want them to have an extreme sort of success. So, for now I think I'd rather JE wait until the moment is right to begin pushing into the American market. I think doramas would be a good start since I think it's really something people in America can get into and by that pursue a different idea. especially since the styles of concerts in Japan seem a little bit different, it seems like it's something America will need to discover, since I think doramas aren't really well known. But seeing as how Johnny Kitagawa himself was born in the U.S., he would be aware of marketability? Anyway, I
I guess my point is I'd be okay waiting a couple of years so that should they perform here, they'd get the best kind of results.
Well that's certainly true but just letting them know they have fans in the US wont get them shipped out here to play like, tomorrow. Its the fact that they know we exist is where the movement towards possible marketability begins. No one invests in a market that will not grow. Therefore by showing them that there is potential here, we've made a bit of progress. Not to mention that progress is being made in ways we may not even think of. Tekkon Kinkreet is available in the states, Honey and Clover is available, HYD manga is around. I mean, small steps will lead to a huge outcome. Maybe right now isn't the time but I think it's excellent that we've shown ourselves as American Arashi fans. They now know that if they were to perform in our country, it would not go unseen. Anyhow, it probably will take years. Arashi's schedule is probably already booked for the next few years. No way they'll spontaneously create an international tour. My estimate (if not later) is 2011-12.
I am SO SORRY that is is late. -_-
But thanks! And it's fine, I didn't get to meet a lot of people. T_T Next time! As I'm sure something will happen in the future. :)

Ah, well, hopefully that day comes quickly right? >^< Not just for them, but it'd be bittersweet I think to have doramas become insanely popular. Because it's not like a really awesome thing that only you and a few other hundred people have, but I'd rather it be that way. I think the American market should open up more. Since roles now tend to be sterotypical. I guess what I fear is the people who refuse to watch foreign films etc. because they have to read subtitles. Though I see the point on music (not knowing what someone says is hard) but I think trying to understand is definately worth it. I just think that the public is sort of warming up to the idea though. ^_^

Wow. Now that I read what I wrote it sounds really disjointed. > <
[いいですね]

Hi there. First timer here. I was just browsing the web and found your site. I just wanted to say that (after almost a month passed...), I liked what you wrote.

With the long line waiting under the heat, I think we all lost our common sense just a lil bit. Having only 5 people at the beginning in front of you and having 40 people in front of you at the end is a scary thing at that time for many girls! That "what if we don't get in?!".... I know people behind us was angry at you, but I'm sure after experiencing the movie premiere, that was all forgotten and forgiven.

Many of my friends from Japan asked me who dat girl in a yellow shirt from the news they seen! So, big ups to you for organizing your Arashi fans!!

That's all =)

Hello. :) Oh well thank you, I appreciate it. ^.^

Yeah, I understood the gravity of the situation after the premiere and it's why I wanted to post some of apology. I didn't want it to seem like myself and the fans really were horridly inconsiderate because in all honesty - I was just entirely excited about the event and didn't think of much else. So, it was genuine - my apology.

恥ずかしい!私がテレビでいたのを知っていましたが、私は、人々が、実際に「黄色いシャツのその少女はだれですか?」と尋ねると思いませんでした。

(I got bored & wanted to say it in Japanese. LMAO)
