Mezamashi TV Filming in NYC - Destini's Report
So I don't think anyone mentioned at all on Vox but to get you akin to what this is about, firstly read this post by rainawallis on LiveJournal.
Now that you understand WHY this happened and why I flew to New York, here's my report. XD
Okay! Today was pretty much amazing. Firstly, it was so great to see the girls again (or for the first time!) today. ^o^

Then, the filming was a lot of fun. Firstly, we *believe* (at least its what he said ._.) we were interviewed by Mizuki Sano, who apparently is the announcer of VS Arashi! How cool is that!
Okay so we were introduced to him and such and a lot of us were like, "Hajimemashite!" And what not. Then me and Jess had a total shocker - the producer was the SAME lady who interviewed us and filmed us Doing the Yatterman dance at New York Comic Con! So we were like, "o-hisashiburi!" Very exciting.
Then! They explained how filming would go and such. For the first scene, we were filmed singing Believe. They re-did it twice and the second time when I did Sho's Believe rap, they did a close up on me. T_T Very scary!
Then, Sano sat down with us an asked us all kinds of questions.
Why do you like Johnnys?
There were answers regarding their looks but Mishi mentioned it perfectly and I chimed in too that their personalities and friendships do it as well. So we don't seem like one-track fans, only looking at looks.
Jess said Sho's name twice when describing them all and it was adorable. XD
Who do you like in JE?
Well, for us group, Arashi was the consensus. However, we mentioned the other groups too. It was more like, "Do you know any other groups?" And we were like "Of course! KJ8, NEWS, KT, V6, etc etc."
Do you like Japanese acts more than American ones?
The general consensus was "YES!" They brought out a teen magazine, Pop Star or J-14 or something. They were like, "Do you like the Jonas Brothers?" And everyone went, "NO! Dame desu!" LMFAO
How do you know the lyrics to the songs?
We explained that we memorized them via the romaji or you know, learn Japanese kana and read the karaoke screen.
Things of this nature. We all answered super enthusiastically and I think we super-surprised them.
Sano thought I was like a genius at Japanese apparently because he'd ask me to tell him what random stuff meant. Like I had to try and translate "go maximum or go home" to him which was a pain this the ass! I didn't do it exactly right but he understood it. At one point he even said, "nihongo ha perapera desu ne!" to my utter shock and terror because it is FAR from perapera! Kore kara mo benkyou shitekimasu, ne?
Then we sang truth, Love so sweet, and Daite Senorita.
Then we did A.RA.SHI *with* Sano which was crazy amazing! They had us go in the front and do the dance which was SO embarrassing. Here's hoping it doesn't go on air.
Lots of adrenaline, lots of fun, really. I really feel like us girls are going to be a part of history. Japan will see first hand that America does have serious fans who learn the songs, buy the merch, and all this stuff. You know, we are serious!
Here are the pictures of stuff from NY or just stuff I bought or got as gifts. LJ's being a fucking idiot so I can't cut it, sorry.
Mika drew a picture for us all! She drew me Sho and its...breathtaking. She's amazing. Love you,
mikarocker! Liz scanned the picture for me and watermarked it so I'll show ya'll. Hope it's okay to link to your scan! ^o^
I also bought three magazines! I bought the H magazine of Sho in NY and the one tiny image of me at the press conference. Two Popolo's, including the 10th Anniversary one with the 22+ pages of Arashi! And a TV Guide or "Za Terebishon" with Sho and Yokoyama on the cover! So I got my Kinokuniya fix for until the next time I'm in either LA or NY.
All and all, fantastic time! Not even speaking for/of myself, I can't even imagine a more fabulous group of girls to have been apart of this. I also cannot thank Liz enough for giving me the chance to be apart of this.
We went to dinner after wards and had a ball there! I was really excited this time around because at the NY Yatterman Premiere, I didn't really get to hang out with everyone. So this time was just us you know chilling out and being fangirls with no restraints. It was really awesome. Everyone's hilarious!
I can now say that this is history in the making. I don't know what, when, or where but something will come from this.
Fandom, we supported and represented you well. I can't wait until the segment is aired! >w<
